Essential duties & responsibilities

  • To ensure existing software integrations and automations continue to function in support of the wider

    procurement function.

  • Develop existing procurement processes, integrations and automations.

  • Create, issue and track purchase orders to ensure all goods and services are delivered on time.

  • Manage supply chain partner relations to ensure long term stability and consistency.

  • Generate timeous, highly accurate reports for internal stakeholders on category spend.

  • Work with Mecsia Group stakeholders to ensure alignment with ECG strategies and that essential s

    ynergies exist between ECG and Group.

  • Align with ECG’s Workhub Team to ensure system automations and reporting mechanisms continue to m

    eet the requirements of the procurement function.

Skills & Qualifications Required

Knowledge & Understanding

Minimum 5 – 10 years’ experience in procurement/supply chain management, preferably in a similar engineering environment.

  • Highly numerate, strong organisational skills and excellent time management skills.

  • Strong understanding of procurement/contractual law both UK & EU based, inclusive of the social value element of contract procurement.

  • Ability to undertake category relevant research/analysis and draw the required conclusions.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Highly developed skills/knowledge with Microsoft Office work packages, especially Excel & Word.

  • Experience of PowerQuery/Power BI advantageous but not essential.

  • Highly analytical with keen eye for detail.

  • Excellent team player but also able to work under own initiative.

Qualifications

  • 5 – 10 years’ experience in a similar or engineering environment.

  • MCIPS qualification or working towards MCIPS qualification.

  • Exposure to Power Query, Power BI, deep understanding of Excel.

  • Ideally candidates would have good procurement knowledge aligned with a high level of IT numeracy.
